Twin Automat is a female duo working with moving image. Artist Irini Karayannopoulou and editor Sandrine Cheyrol have been collaborating since 2006, creating art films, documentaries, hand drawn animations and video/audio installations. Twin Automat’s approach is rooted in concerns over structure, form and meaning, exploring tensions and possibilities between sound, image and text. Their work has been described by Vogue Polska as “a sphere filled with boundless filters that open the passageway to the unconscious universe, where creativity and evolution preside”. The works of Twin Automat have been presented in museums, private institutions and  film festivals worldwide. Irini and Sandrine live and act between Athens and Paris.
